The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has recently released its statistics for 2014 showing trends in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries.  They have been collective these numbers from board certified plastic surgeons for 22 years.

Last year, there was a notable increase in procedures that are typically performed on patients who have lost a considerable amount of weight through either bariatric surgery or via diet and exercise programs.

They showed a ten percent increase in breast lifts and a four percent increase in tummy tucks over the previous year while arm lifts and thigh lifts both demonstrated a nine percent increase in number.

With the new-found interest healthier lifestyles, these trends are not surprising and are likely to continue for several years.
