I spent most of the morning the other day trying to repair the damage done by another physician. The patient had undergone liposuction in the office of a doctor posing as a plastic surgeon. As a result, she had areas that were undertreated and multiple areas that were badly over-treated creating an uneven contour with severe depressions in her thighs.

My treatment was liposuction of the undertreated areas and fat injections into the depressions. It looked great at the end but we have to wait and see how much of the fat will survive the transfer. It is much easier to do it right the first time than to try and fix the problems created by an untrained con artist.

Make sure that your surgeon is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery before you have surgery. A cheap price for surgery should be a clue. It will cost you a lot more than what you think you were saving to fix the problems caused by going to an untrained bogus surgeon.
